The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015

5月6日 世界経済フォーラム（WEF，World Economic Forum）が，‘The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2015’（旅行・観光競争力レポート 2015年）を発表しました。

レポートは1年おきに発表されています。

141ヶ国（economies）を ‘TTCI（The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Index）’で評価してランキングしています。
‘The TTCI measures “the set of factors and policies that enable the sustainable development of the Travel & Tourism (T&T) sector, which in turn, contributes to the development and competitiveness of a country.”’  （「‘TTCI’は，国の発展と競争力に貢献する 旅行と観光部門の持続的発展を可能とする要素と政策のセットを測る。」）とあります。

ランキング 55位までの国を‘TTCI’と共に下表に示します。

日本は9位で，アジアで唯一10位以内にランキングされました。前回（2013年）の14位から順位を上げています。
ランキングは 下図の 14項目（Pillar) に対する評価で行われています。
14のPillarは 更に合計90の細目（Indivisual Indicator, key)に基づいています。

上記の日本の Index Score をアジア・太平洋地域の平均と共に示します。

特にランキングが低い 二つの Pillar，‘Price Competitiveness’：116位 と ‘Tourist Service Infrastructure’：75位 の内容がどうなっているのか興味があって細項目を見ました。

‘Price Competitiveness’が116位になった Key は4項目あります。
   ①‘Ticket taxes and airport charges’（空港のアクセス費用を100点満点で評価しています。
        82位 （75.1点）
   ②‘Hotel price index’（1st クラスのホテルの平均的ルーム・チャージを US$で評価）
        36位 （$70.5）
   ③‘Purchasing power parity’（購買力平価）
       122位 （1.1）
   ④‘Fuel price levels’（ディーゼル油値段 US￠/litre）
       126位（￠200）

‘Tourist Service Infrastructure’は75位。4つのKey で決まっています。
   ①‘Hotel rooms’（人口 1000人当たりのホテル部屋数）
        27位（1.1） 因みに 1位は マルタで 4.4
   ②‘Extension of business trips recommended’（初めて仕事で来た senior executive に観光旅行をどの程度 薦めるか。7点満点で。）
        129位（4.1） 因みに1位は ニュージーランド 6.5。
        韓国が 5.1で 86位なので，あくまで定性的，どの程度の意味があるのか疑問。
   ③‘Presence of major car rental companies’
         81位（4） 因みに1位は34ヶ国あって 7。
   ④‘ATMｓ accepting Visa cards’（人口 百万人当たり Visa カードが使えるATMマシーン台数）
        73位（396） 因みに1位は トリニダード・トバゴの2,848。
